Obituary For Douglas Ray Robison
A celebration of Doug's Life will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Dannel Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Pastor Leland Samuelson of The Refuge will officiate.
Douglas Ray Robison went to his Heavenly home on March 17, 2023. He was 78 years of age. He was known by many names: Doug, Daddy, Papa, Unkie Doug, and Uncle Doug.
Doug is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Judy, a daughter Cindy Woodard, her son Kyle Woodard and his wife and children Jennifer, Caleb, and Berkleigh. His son Mark Robison and his wife and children Luanne, Jessica, and Matthew. His sisters Sharon Sanford and Essie Geis and their families. And also a large extended family and friends who became family.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Estell and Edith Robison, brothers Calvin and Donnie, and sister Nettie Grady.
He worked for Texas Instruments for 25 years as a tool and die maker and then worked for Kwik-Set where he retired. One of his projects included the Paveway Missile.
Doug was an avid, award winning fisherman, a long term member of the Texoma Bass Club where he made friends and inspired many. He loved his family with whom he never missed a birthday or anniversary. He loved playing cards, watching GRIT, and even a little time at the casino. He was a rock and a protector. He supported everyone around him. He was encouraging to all, forgetting of none, and loved by many.
The family wants to say a special thank you to Home Hospice of Grayson County for their quick response and helpful care.
Condolences
