Dr. David M. Phillips, 74, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025. The Rosary will be Monday, November 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Denison, Texas. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited to the Saint Xavier Center for lunch and a time of fellowship immediately following the service.

David Michael Phillips was born on June 21, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio. His parents were Michael David and Barbara Jane Phillips. He grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico before moving to Seabrook, Texas and graduating high school at Clear Creek High in League City, Texas. He graduated from the University of Houston in 1973 and went to the University of Texas Dental School, in Houston graduating in 1977. He completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 1981. He then went on to become a board certified oral surgeon in Sherman, Texas as well as being a member of the teaching faculty of Texas A&M University College of Dentistry in Dallas for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Phillips. Dr. David Phillips was preceded in death by his mother, father and brothers Daniel and Douglas.
