Obituaries

Drena Engler, 79, of Denison, passed away on Saturday August 3, 2024, in Smyrna, Tennessee while visiting her son and his family. Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Wednesday August 14, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery Chapel in Denison, Texas with Mark Garner, officiating. She is in the care of Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.

She was born in Dallas, Texas and raised by her grandmother Ruby McDuffy. Drena Engler went home to be with the Lord and family members. Drena will be missed by so many. Drena graduated from Denison Highschool. She retired from Texas Instruments/MEMC. She was a member of First Baptist Church Bells, Texas.

Drena was a Christian woman and had a deep and abiding faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. She was an amazing example of God’s love to everyone she met. She always met you with a smile on her face. She was a bright light in this world and made a positive impact everywhere she went. Her goal was to have all her family in Heaven with her. She loved her family deeply and prayed constantly for them. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Drena was truly a woman of faith who spent her life being a witness for Jesus.

Drena was preceded in death by her Grandmother Ruby McDuffy, Mother Doris Davis, and Father David Brumit. She is survived by Dustin Morrow (son) and his wife Pamela Morrow, and Paul Morrow (son). She had six grandchildren (Tyler Morrow, Kayla Morrow, Alexandria Buck, Hunter Morrow, Abby Morrow, and Charles (Kellen) Morrow and two great grandchildren (Aria and Adlee Buck).
