Obituary For Earl Cripe

Earl Eugene Cripe, 76, of Van Alstyne, died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Meadowbrook Nursing and Rehab, in Van Alstyne. Graveside services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, July 6th, at Akers Cemetery in Sherman. Pastor Terry Cripe, of Lighthouse Family Worship Center in Poteau, OK, will officiate. Mr. Cripe was born November 16, 1938, in Churubusco, IN, to Eugene and Helen Hawk Cripe. He was a noted chef, and was also an accomplished motorcycle mechanic. He was a long-time member of Harvestime Assembly of God in Sherman. Preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Cripe is survived by his children: Earl Cripe and wife Novella, of Sherman, TX; Terry Cripe and wife Betty, of Poteau, OK; Ronnie Cripe, of Sherman, TX; Jimmy Cripe, of Denison, TX; Robert Cripe and wife Lori, of Sherman, TX and Brenda Greenfield and husband Terry, of Sherman, TX; sister, Helen Devance, of Sherman, TX; very dear friend Don Yates; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
