Obituary For Edith Stroud

Edith Jean Stroud, 92, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on July 21, 2019, in Sherman, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6-8, Wednesday, July 24th at Dannel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30, Thursday, July 25th at Fairview Baptist Church. Burial will follow at City Cemetery in Bells, Texas. Arrangements are by Dannel Funeral Home.

Jeanne was born in Bells, Texas to Claude Vernon Whiting and Audrey Nora Fox Whiting on September 22,1926. She went to school in Bells, Texas. She was married to Nathan Stroud for many years and stayed home to raise her boys. She loved babysitting her nieces and nephews and spending time with family. She also loved traveling, playing cards with her friends and going to church. Her friends and family loved her dearly and will truly miss her beautiful smile and kind heart.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband, Nathan, her brother, Buddy Whiting, and her sister, “Woots” Tindall.

Jeanne is survived by her two sons, Randy and his wife, Darla, and Rick, and his wife, Jeanie, her sister, Marinan Washburn, and her grandchildren, Blake Stroud, Justin Stroud and Christa Reed, along with numerous nieces, nephews and their wives and children.

Memorials may be given to Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas.
