Obituaries

Eleanor Mullins 72 of Sherman passed away Thursday March 15 2012 at Texoma Medical Center of Denison. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 20 at 11 a.m. in Dannel Chapel. Interment will follow at Luella Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Mon. March 19 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A lifelong resident of Sherman Eleanor was born April 21 1939 to Andrew Carl and Aline (Bennett) Smith. She was educated in the public schools graduating from Sherman High School. She married Wilburn Lee Mullins in Sherman in 1954 and they enjoyed 57 years together before his passing in 2001. She served as manager of Payless Shoestore for thirty years before retiring in 2001. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents husband great aunt Virgie Pugg and a son Michael W. Mullins and a sister Glenda Campbell. Survivors include two sons: Steven L. Mullins and wife Lisa of Sherman and Jimmy R. Mullins of Sherman, three daughters Debbie Berger of McKinney Sherry Winton and husband Jerry of Sherman and Barbie Stanley of Sherman, nine grandchildren: Shannon Campbell and husband Steve of Sherman Shawn Patrick and wife Brandy of Longview Rachel Sedmack and husband Joey of Howe Stephen Thomas and wife Hilary of Sherman Jeffrey Winton of Sherman Casey Taylor and husband George of Sadler Shannon Campbell and husband Steve of Sherman Ricky Mullins and wife Krissy of Sherman Ricky Mullins of Sherman Dustin Mullins of Sherman and Jeffery Winton of Sherman Jerrikka Winton of Sherman, nephew David Mullins and fifteen great grandchildren and a sister Opal Nichols and husband H.L. of Denison. Eleanor had great affection for two dogs that gave her joy and companionship: Oliver and Mopsy. Pallbearers will be: Steve Campbell Stephen Thomas Jeff Winton Jim Stanley Joe Gurley and Joey Sedmack.
