Elva Gonzalez Bond, 87, of Rio Grande City, Texas, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Sherman Healthcare Center, Sherman, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Rio Grande City, Texas. Mrs. Bond was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Elva De La Cruz; grandsons, Kyle Deavai Bateman and Steven Michael Bond; brothers, Adolfo Gonzalez, Jr. and Abel Gonzalez; and a sister, Euloisa Garcia, She is survived by sons, Larry Bond of Virginia and Eric Bond of Harlingen, TX; daughters,Rose Kennedy of Kentucky, Sally Bond of Rio Grande City, TX and Sandy Bateman of Sherman, TX; (11) Grandchildren, (18) Great Grandchildren and (1) Great- Great Grandchild along with numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home, Sherman, Texas.
