Obituary For Emeterio Gomez

Emeterio Gómez, age 55, of Sherman, passed away on November 29, 2021 in Dallas. Arrangements are by Dannel Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, December 2nd at Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday, December 3rd at Dannel Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Stephenson of Faith Assembly of God officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery. Emeterio was born in Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico to Ramon and Noemi Gomez on February 28, 1966. He married Norma Perez on March 23, 1991 in Sabinas, Coahuila. He graduated from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. He pastored for the Church of God of Prophecy as an ordained minister in Amarillo, Texas for 11 years and for the Church of the Nazarene in Sherman, Texas for 6 years. He took pride in his construction work as a self-employed handyman, and was loved by his loyal clients who appreciated his attention to detail and perfectionism.

Emeterio is preceded in death by his father, Don Ramon Gomez. He is survived by his wife, Norma Gomez, his children, Alejandro Gomez and Odi Galaviz, his siblings, Ramon Gomez, Elizabeth Gomez, Hugo Gomez, Pedro Gomez, Marcos Gomez, Angelica Nickens, and Pablo Gomez, his mother Noemi Gomez-Samaniego, and his granddaughter, Sofia Galaviz.
