Obituary For Emily Marie Rogers

Emily Marie Rogers, 23, of Sherman, passed away on April 27, 2022, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The family will greet friends on Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Dannel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday May 16th, 2022, at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Anderson of Trinity Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Cemetery in Tom Bean, Texas. Arrangements are by Dannel Funeral Home.

Emily was born in Sherman to Terry Rogers and Ammie Lyde on January 4th, 1999. She was raised in Tom Bean and Howe, attending schools in both towns. She loved softball and played for several years. Emily was a “tomboy” and loved to be outside and enjoyed every second with her family, especially the light of her life, Katie. Her smile would light up the room!

Emily is preceded in death by Great Grandparents, Roy D. and Helen McLane Jones, Great Grandfather, Richard Welch, Great Grandmother, Dorothy Good Patton, and Great Grandfather, J.W. Rogers.

Emily is survived by Father, Terry Rogers of Sherman; Mother, Ammie Lyde of Denison; Grandparents: Dwight and Martha Rogers of Sherman, and Grandmother Tina Harvey of Denison; Great Grandmother, Sue Welch of Roxton, Texas; Brothers: Phillip Rogers of Sherman, Evan Rogers of Denison, and Jacob Lyde of Denison; Sisters, Gracie Bearden of Denison, Jayce Lyde of Tom Bean, and Neallee Rogers of Howe; and many aunts and uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be Harlan Owens, Fischer Rogers, Cooper Rogers, Rashad Lawson, Jacob Lyde, and Evan Rogers.
