Obituary For Eran Simmons
Eran Frazier Simmons, 95, of Sherman, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at The Homestead of Sherman. Her family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25th, at Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 26th, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Fr. Wesley Evans will officiate. Interment will follow immediately afterward in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, TX. Mrs. Simmons was born October 11, 1919 in Royce City, TX, to Otis and Eva Brook Frazier. She married Lloyd Basil Simmons on April 30, 1942. They enjoyed 35 years together before his death in 1977. Mrs. Simmons was a longtime employee of Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, retiring in 1983 as Director of Volunteer Services & Housekeeping. She also served as bookkeeper for the gift shop at the hospital. She was quite involved - serving in numerous capacities - at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and all seven of her siblings, she is survived by her daughter, Karen Brook Davis and her husband James, of Sherman; one grandson, Christopher Marney and his wife Ashlan; one great-granddaughter, Sailor Channing Marney Bock; nieces, Mary Martell and husband Ron, and Helen Foxwell and husband Vaughn; and a host of friends.
