Obituary For Evelyn Frances Shane - Wilson

Evelyn Frances Shane - Wilson, 77, of Grand Prairie, TX passed away on August 20, 2023 peacefully in her home. Evelyn was born in Sherman, TX on April 5, 1946. Raised by loving parents Joyce and Max Kane. The family traveled a lot and she attended schools in Texas, California, and Michigan.

She loved her work as a hairdresser for many years. Later, she continued her education, completing several classes and earning certificates that lead to her career in the insurance field working for Allstate until her retirement. She was someone you could always count on. She was the glue. Always devoted to caring for her family and getting everyone together. She enjoyed singing karaoke music. Hardworking and independent, she prided herself in taking care of her home.

She loved trying new things and was a great cook. She was dedicated to her service work and spreading the word of God. Evelyn was preceded in death by her Husband John Wilson, her Brothers Dennis and Darrell Kane, Ronnie Reeves. Granddaughter Amber Witt. Her Parents and her Grandparents.

Evelyn is survived by Her Sons: Danny Witt (Tanya), Robert Culwell (Doris) Grandchildren: Danny Witt Jr, Tabathia Townley, Jasmine and Jared Culwell Great Grandchildren: Gavin Steiger, Kaleb Moore Seth Bouton, Cash & Laken Witt Her Siblings: Susie Collier, Louann Day, Donna (Cookie) Kosinski, Joe Kane, Roxanne Morris, Theresa Kane as well as numerous cousins and close family & friends.

She was very appreciative of the care and concern of her close family and friends. She expressed her deepest gratitude to those who provided constant support and comfort for her daily during her illness.

The family of Evelyn wishes to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone that prayed for our family and provided support and care during that time. As well as their kindness and sympathy during our time of bereavement. She will be truly missed by many.
