Send Flowers Fannie Dutton Zwinggi, 91, of Sherman, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Signature Pointe in Dallas. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 30th, at Dannel Chapel in Sherman, conducted by Jim Adlof. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 1st, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman. Celebrant will be Fr. Jeremy Myers, and Fr. Antonio Aureus will assist. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Zwinggi was born August 18, 1924, in Whitesboro, TX, to Joe and Flossie Dutton. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1942, and attended North Texas Teacher's College (which later became University of North Texas). On December 12, 1948, she married Oscar Zwinggi at St. Mary's Church in Gainesville, TX. She was a long-time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman, very active in the Women's Guild and the Legion of Mary. Mrs. Zwinggi was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oscar, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by two daughters: Carol Claunch and husband, Gerald, of Richardson, and Shirley Zwinggi and Teresa Jones, of Carrollton; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be members of the Knights of Columbus.
