Obituary For Frances Lohr

Frances A. Lohr, 67, of Sherman, passed from this life on Palm Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. A Rosary will be recited in Dannel Funeral Chapel at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31st, with family visitation following. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 1st, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Fr. Jeremy Myers as celebrant, and Fr. Antonio Aureus as concelebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Frances was born March 3, 1948, in Yakima, WA, to James Alvis and Bessie Lee Teeples. She married Thomas Henry Lohr on June 8, 1965, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Tishomingo, OK, officiated by Fr. Stanley Rother. She was a wonderful wife, homemaker, aunt, mother, and grandmother. She cared greatly, not only for her own children, but for all the children of the neighborhood. Frances was a long-time member of St. Mary's Catholic Parish in Sherman. Frances was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Steve Teeples; her sister, Alvadean Queener, and two sisters who each died in infancy. She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Thomas H. Lohr; son, Tom Lohr and wife Angela, of Sherman; daughter, Sonia Powless and husband Steven, of Denison; sister, Bobbie Hagood and husband Louis, of Denison; grandchildren: Steven Powless, Jr. and wife Lauren, Hunter Westmoreland, Brendan M. Powless, Christofer Lohr, and Danny Lohr; great-grandchildren: Abigail Anne Powless, Olivia Grace Powless and Lillian Frances Powless. Serving as pallbearers are Steven Powless, Jr., Hunter Westmoreland, Brendan M. Powless, Christofer Lohr, Danny Lohr, and David Pope. Honorary bearers are Tom Lohr and Steven Powless, Sr. Memorial donations are appreciated to the St. Mary's Window Restoration Fund at 727 S. Travis in Sherman, TX 75090.
