Obituary For Frank Edward Alvarez

Frank Edward Alvarez Sr. left this world to be with his beloved wife Jackie, on February 18, 2026. Frank and Jackie loved each other on this Earth for 57 years and return to each other’s side with their sons John and David in heaven. Frank Sr. was preceded in death by his father Antonio Sr, mother Carolina, and brother Antonio “Tony” Jr. Frank led a family of seven children: John Alvarez, Frank Jr. (Chi Wei) Alvarez, Marc (Laurie) Alvarez, David Alvarez, Kim (Leon) Goodman, Penny (George) Keller, and Cindy (Kenny) Wilkerson. And together these families brought Frank 13 grandchildren: Jordan, Luke, Alexandra, Noah, Joshua, Jonah, Micah, Zachary, Frank III, Hope, Lani Grace, Isabella, and Braxton. His grandchildren brought three new lives into this world: Luna, Alexander, and Vivienne. He gave back to the community by volunteering with the Republican Party, Knights of Columbus, and Pottsboro Lions Club.

In the bible, when Solomon prayed to God, he asked for wisdom. This is something Frank had in spades. If you took the time to engage in a conversation with Frank, it didn’t take long for you to understand he had an opinion. If you took more time to listen to what he said, you understood that there was always something to learn in what he said. This son of two immigrants shows everyone what you’re capable of when you work hard and take nothing for granted. While he would be the first to tell you that he was a man of many mistakes in life, he was also the first to make sure you understood that God was the only answer to this life.

Frank, Dad, Papa, please give your parents and brother our love. Let your heart be made whole again with Jackie. Be comforted with the time you’ll make up with John and David. Share with Joshua and Zachary the love you always shared with us. Thank you for showing us what is capable in a life pursued with passion and submitted to our Lord.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Vincent de Paul of St. Mary’s Church. On Friday, February 27, 2026, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church a rosary will be held at 3:30 PM, followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at 4:00 PM. Father Martin Casteneda will officiate and Deacon Jim Adlof will assist.
