Frederick E. Pokorny, 87, of Sherman, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, TX. Mr. Pokorny was born December 21, 1927, in Istanbul, Turkey, the son of Irene and Ernest Pokorny. He received a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and was self employed. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by Sons, Charles (Rick) Pokorny, Whitesboro, Texas, David Maxwell Pokorny, Denison, Texas, Michael Harris Pokorny, Madison, Mississippi; Daughter, Margaret (Meg) Haizlip of Kansas and 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home, Sherman, Texas. There are no service arrangements planned at this time.
