Gary David Liggett, of Sherman, passed from this life on August 12th in Sherman at the age of 70.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17 at 4:30 at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman.

Gary was born in Sherman to Anne and Wayne Liggett on March 9, 1953. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School, Piner Junior High and Sherman High School. After high school Gary trained in cytologist and went on to work in medical labs in the Dallas area until his retirement. Gary laughed easily and often. He was sweet, kind, generous and very caring. He did so much to honor our mother near the end of her life, including spending countless hours by her side.

That love was then shown in return by our brother, Frank, who stayed faithfully by Gary's bedside during these last difficult months.

Gary is preceded in death by parents, Wayne W. and Anne Liggett, brothers Walter and Wayne C. Liggett, sisters Maryanne Rath and Judy Crow. Gary is survived by brothers Werner, Frank and Danny Liggett, sister Kathy Black (Rob), and 9 nieces and nephews.
