Obituary For Gary Dean Reppond

Services for Gary Dean Reppond, 66, of Van Alstyne, Texas, will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. Pastor Jeremy Moore of Community Bible Fellowship in Howe, Texas will officiate. Interment will follow the service at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Dannel Funeral Home.

Gary was born on February 28, 1956, in Sherman, Texas to G.W. and Margaret Reppond. He was raised in Sherman and graduated from Sherman High School. Gary went to work for Texas Instruments for several years and then began his career as a truck driver working with many different companies. His greatest joy in life was his daughter, Priscella. Gary loved his family and loved spending time with them all.

Gary, also known as “Papa G” to many, loved to hunt and fish and took great pride in his garden. He had a “green thumb” and loved to share what he grew. Gary had a “one-of-a-kind” personality and was eternally a kid at heart. One of his favorite pastimes was getting the last laugh with his grandkids. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, G.W. and Maggie Reppond, sister Sherry Reppond, brother-in-law Claude Alexander, and nephew Dwayne Alexander. He is survived by his daughter, Priscella Lankford and husband Jason of Howe, Texas; 2 grandchildren: Gracie and Garren Lankford of Howe, Texas; sister, Jan Alexander of Frisco; and great niece, Kristina Alexander Ortega and husband Arthur of Howe, Texas.

Pallbearers for Gary will be Garren Lankford, Logan Duty, Landin Duty, James Fore, Arthur Ortega, and David Alexander.
