Obituary For Gena Renee Ochs

Gena Renee (Fine) Ochs age 62, from Meade, OK, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday October 17, 2022, in Durant Oklahoma.

Gena was born in Garden City, KS, June 13, 1960, to Gene Fine and Verna Mae (Warren) Fine Gena attended Garden City public schools. She was a stay-at-home mom. Gena was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing. She did alterations and other projects for many people over the years. She also loved to do craft and arts hobbies. She moved from Garden City to the Sherman, Texas and Meade, Oklahoma (Lake Texoma) areas in the 1990, s and resided there since.

Survivors include, her daughter, Jennifer (Melton) Harvey, Sherman, TX; one sister Bonnie Wiles and husband Kevin, of Garden City, KS; two brothers, Alan Fine and wife Raylene, of Coldwater, KS, Steve Fine and wife Nellie, of Weatherford, OK; parents Pete and Verna (Warren) Garcia, Garden City, KS. Grand-children; Taylor and Austin Christian; Katrina, Max, Sara, and Hannah Ochs, Mersadies McLeester, and Alison Daigle, Great-Grand-Children; Leo Hull, Cooper, Kent, Axel Atterberry, Parker McLeester, and Leah Ochs. Nine nieces and nephews. Special Family and Friends: Randy and Mitzi Mosher and family, Jeff and Stephanie Rowan and family, Mary Griffin, M.E. and Ginger Perry, and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by two Infant sons, Dusty Fine and Jarrod Melton, her father, Gene Fine; Grandparents, Clarence and Minnie Fine, and Amasa G. and Viola Warren. Per Gena’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. She was an organ donor and requested to be cremated and laid to rest next to her two infant sons.

Burial will take place at 3:30 p.m. Saturday November 5th, 2022, at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, KS. With a celebration of life at 5:30 p.m. held at The Garden Terrace, in the Clarion Inn, located at Campus and Kansas Avenue in Garden City, KS.
