Obituary For George Cook

A graveside service for George C. Cook, 98, of Sherman will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 4pm at Friendship Cemetery in Sherman. Dannel Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. George Clytis Cook was born May 26, 1918 in Gordonville, Texas. He is the son of George Luther Cook and Olar Lee Vick Cook. At the age of 22, he married Eloise Davis on April 7, 1941. They were married for 73 years. He retired from Fant Milling/Conagra, where he worked for over 35 years. He is survived by his three children: Doug Cook, Shirley Roberts and Betty Montgomery; six grandchildren: Cheryl Mentzel, Brad Roberts, Julie Cooper, Jina Taylor, Jeremy Montgomery, and Kayla Henry; six great grandchildren: Hunter Roberts, Cole Mentzel, Presley Roberts, Bentli Taylor, Briley Henry and Ethan Henry. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Harold Cook and sister Beulah Cook.
