George "Fred" Stauffer, 91, of Dallas, passed away on January 21, 2021 in Plano, Texas.

Fred was born in Tarentum, PA, to George W. Stauffer and Edna V. Stauffer on December 4, 1929. He went to school in Tarentum and college at Juniata College in Huntington, PA. Fred married Gertrude K. Knapo on June 26, 1954 in Tarentum, PA. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2012. He married Glenda Byrd Cook on March 11, 2017. Fred was a Captain with Braniff International from 1958 until he retired after their second bankruptcy in 1989. Fred served in the US Marine's and the US Navy as an aircraft carrier pilot from 1954 until he joined Braniff in 1958.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.

Fred is survived by his 2nd wife Glenda, daughter Glenna Wren and her husband Rick of Sherman, Texas, grandsons: Shaun Wren and his wife Heidi of Wylie, Texas, Chad Wren and his wife Lauren of Lantana, Texas, and Clint Wren and his wife Jennifer of Melissa, Texas. He is also survived by his nine great-grandchildren: Cole, Hayden, Preston of Wylie, Texas, Skyler, Carter, Arden of Lantana, Texas, and Brody, Brinlee, Parker of Melissa, Texas.
