Obituary For Glenn Nix

Glenn Talmadge Nix III (“Talmadge”) of McKinney, Texas, passed away on April 24, 2017. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 28 at Faith Church in Sherman. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, April 27 at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. Talmadge was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 4, 1973. He graduated from Sherman High School, received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Baylor University where he was known for his flagrant nudity. Talmadge happily married Stephanie Nix on September 8, 2013 barefoot on the beach in Maine. Talmadge worked as an attorney in Sherman and McKinney for more than 18 years. He enjoyed the courtroom, debate, and shredding the arguments of others. He was known for his quick wit, creative humor, and intellectual superiority. Talmadge is survived by his father Glenn Talmadge Jr., his mother Barbara, his wife Stephanie and a truckload of adopted street animals: Kennedy, Ophelia, Pig, Mila, Honey Bunny, and Stella. Talmadge is also known as Tal, T-Luxe, Sir Nix-a-Lot, T-Bag, the Nixenator, Uncle Towel, and Pope Tal the Foul Mouthed. His true love was sports. He specifically requests six Dallas Cowboys pallbearers so that the Dallas Cowboys can let him down one last time. Talmadge hated hipsters and his wife’s obsession with coconut oil. Not necessarily in that order. Talmadge died while running into a burning orphanage to save children. Or maybe not. We all know how much he liked to tell stories.

How can words express the loss of this family? I know you feel it so much more than we can ever imagine, and the pain is beyond description. I lift you all up in prayer He was a truly good man, and helped many out that he never made known, as he didn't want praise for his actions. He was that kind of guy. May your pain become less as your love overcomes. Paula Thomas
