Obituaries

Greta Rhodes Moore, 84, of Sherman, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Homestead of Sherman. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 27, at 1:00 PM at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Pastor Leland Samuelson will officiate.

Greta was born on August 20, 1936 in Deport, Texas to James and Vera Rhodes. She was the oldest of three children including her brothers, Jerry and Steve Rhodes. She was raised in Paris and attended Paris schools. She married Ray Moore and they moved to Sherman. Greta worked at Burlington Industries until her retirement. She and her husband loved to go to the horseraces and travel the country side. She loved to read anything and everything that she could get her hands on. She will be greatly missed.

Greta was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, sons Robert and Derrell, and grandson Rodney. She is survived by son Ronald Cummings and wife Debbie of Sherman; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
