I am so so sorry to hear the news. I send my deepest sick condolences and sympathies. Aunt Gelene...you know you and Uncle Harold Lee were always one of my favs! I know we aren't supposed to have them per se, but sometimes you just can't help it...I love you very much so Aunt Gelene. We are sending all the love and positive juju your way!

I never got to meet my great uncle, I am the oldest child to his sister Eva Lou Foote, I am Lana's Daughter, I loved visiting with his other siblings through out my lifetime and I am sorry I didn't get to meet Harold! May he Rest In Peace if any one wants to reach out my mom is Lana Van Meter on Facebook and I am Misty Ragan.

He was a wonderful man! From the time I was a little girl. I remember he always had a big smile for me, called me by name and gave me a big hug. He would always have something nice and kind to say to me. Being a small child, part of a very large family, he was my only Uncle that always made me feel special and loved. Now at 73 years old, he has though all these years been that kind, nice and loving uncle. He was a special man, one that will be resurrected to everlasting life. Looking forward to seeing him again, along with the rest of my family, he is now with. What a wonderful big family reunion it will be!

Funny how life is composed of memories. My earliest memory of my Uncle Harold Lee is from when he was a student at the University of Arkansas. I remember he and Gelene living in repurposed military barracks that had become student housing. We were visiting that day to see their new son Mike. I don't think I could have been more than 4 years old and certainly didn't understand the meaning of family yet but still the memories of the visit remain with me. As years passed other memories joined that earliest memory such as waiting on the family station wagon to arrive at my grandparent's house in Greenwood so Thanksgiving or Christmas festivities could begin, Cousin Mike staying with me or me staying with him and visits to their home in Richardson Texas and trips to Six Flags. As I reflect on my memories I find a constant remembrance of Harold Lee as an individual who loved and cared about people, especially family! Throughout his life he was never too busy to reach out to me to find out how Mom or I were doing and to let us know how he, Gelene and the kids were. Always smiling, always jovial, always caring and always loving he was a model for how life should be lived. My Uncle Harold Lee will be missed but his memories will live in my heart forever. I will miss my sweet great Uncle Harold Lee very much. When him and Gelene would visit my grandma and I in Round Rock, he was always so so sweet and funny and told the best stories!! You could just tell how much he loved Gelene and the family. We've lost a great one but his memory and voice and laughter live on in our hearts. Love, Victoria Bellamy

Saying good-bye to someone as beloved as Harold Lee Woody is difficult, especially so for his family. He leaves a void no one can fill. With the passing of time, may the sadness of this time be replaced by comforting memories of special moments spent with friends and family. As one of his nieces, my favorite childhood memories center around summer trips to Richardson, Texas, where we got to spend family time with Harold Lee abd Gelene and our wonderful cousins. Our visits always included a trip to Six Flags Ovet Texas so we were on Cloud 9. As an adult, I have always lived a good distance away, and I only saw Harold Lee and Gelene on rare occasions. What stands out to me through the years is the positive, caring attitude that he always possessed. He never failed to ask about my family members and showed genuine interest in where they were living and what they were doing. Harold Lee possessed a kind and gentle spirit that endeared him to us all. He will be missed. -- Paula Woody Woolf
