Harold Lee Waw "Bookie" 74 passed away October 30 2013 in Durant OK. Services will be at 11:00 am at Dannel Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Christopher Lee Waw. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at 10:00 am at Dannel Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow service at West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Waw was born February 7 1939 in Sherman Texas to Harvey Alexander Waw and Mary Lucille Fry Waw. Mr. Waw graduated from Southmayd High School in 1957 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and serviced our country from 1960 to 1963. He was stationed at Fort Sill OK South Korea for 13 months and France for 6 months. Mr. Waw was an electrician for 46 years and a member of various clubs including IBEW Local 20 Eagles FOE85 and the Amvets. He was an avid fisherman. Also Mr. Waw was very proud of his heritage being a Cherokee. Preceded in death by his parents Harvey Waw and Lucille Waw by his wife Vaolele Waw and brothers Roy Waw and Gene Waw . Survived by his sister Helen Golden of Ft. Worth TX Sons Claud Waw of Vian OK and Christopher Waw of Sherman TX Daughter LeighAnn Merchant of Sherman TX and 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
