Obituary For Helen Vinson

Funeral Services for Helen Stinson Vinson of Sherman who died at her residence Sunday, May 29, 2016 will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Dannel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating and interment will follow at Kendall Chapel Cemetery in Southmayd, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home, Sherman, Texas. Helen was born March 24, 1923 in Trenton, TX to the late John and Ida Blanton. She married C.E. (Bud) Stinson, January 1, 1950. Together they operated Stinson Venetian Blinds and shared 33 years of marriage until his passing on Sunday, May 29, 1983. On October 29, 1988, she married M. R. (Vinnie) Vinson and shared 21 years of marriage until his death on July 11, 2009. Helen attended Key Memorial Methodist Church and East Sherman Baptist Church and was a member of the Joy Club at East Sherman Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Helen is survived by her daughter, Peggy and husband Jimmy Klas of Southmayd, TX; brother, Lesley Blanton of Edhube; 2 Grandchildren, Detra and Bill Stuckey of Southmayd, Kevin and Lee Anne Klas of Gunter; 2 Great Grand Daughters, Delany and Kiley Klas; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kendall Chapel Cemetery c/o Peggy Klas, P. O. Box 246, Southmayd, TX 76268.

    Peggy I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. She was a wonderful sweet lady. I am so sorry that I can't make it to the funeral. I am the care giver of my daughter Shelley who is on hospice care. I love you and your Mom very much. Sandra Franks McCurley
