Obituaries

Jackie Nelson, 78, of Sherman, passed away Monday, January 20th, at Texas Health Presbyterian/WNJ. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 24th at West Hill Cemetery. Pastor Leland Samuelson will officiate. Mr. Nelson is survived by his children: Chris Nelson and Darrell Nelson, both of Sherman; Jackie Nelson of Hondo; and Sharron House of D’Hanis, TX; and one sister, Shirley Caldwell of Sherman. He also leaves 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bobby Gene and Jimmy Wayne Nelson and two great-grandchildren, John Paul Beck and Jason Scott Beck.
