Obituaries

Jim Colvin, 63, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015, after a battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 29th, at Dannel Funeral Chapel, with Fr. J. Wesley Evans officiating. A brief visitation will precede the service. Private inurnment will be in the columbarium of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Jim was born December 3, 1951, in Wichita Falls, TX, to A.D. and Sylvia Gailey. He attended schools in Whitesboro and graduated from Sherman High School. Through much of his adult life, he trained exotic animals, and would show them at fairs, petting zoos, and/or animal shows. He was retired from Merchandise Mart, and was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Sherman. Preceded in death by his parents and daughter Cara Colvin, Jim is survived by his brother, Ed Colvin and wife Pam, of Sherman, step-brother Scott Gailey, of Dallas, and step-sister Michelle Gailey, of Ft.
