James Cornell Thomas went to be home with his Savior Jesus on October 22, 2021. A Celebration of James’ Life will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas. James’ stepsons, Pastor Brandon Boatner and Dylan Boatner will officiate. James was born on June 1, 1972 in Sherman, Texas to Noble and Patsy Thomas. He was raised in Sherman and attended Denison schools. He was an electrical contractor and master electrician and owned Thomas Electric in Sherman since 1999. Many of his customers became his good friends. He met the love of his life, Monica Boatner in August of 1992. They had a daughter, Holly Briann Thomas on July 6, 1993. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. James is survived by his wife, Monica of Sherman; daughter, Holly Webster and husband Brian of Durant, Oklahoma; father, Noble Thomas of Sherman; sister, Debbie Bennett and husband Mike of Sherman; niece, Brittany Pickens and husband Wesley of Fate, Texas; brother, Ralph Thomas of Denison; nephew, Matthew Thomas of Denison; step sons: Brandon Boatner and wife Julie of Maryland Heights, Missouri, Dylan Boatner and wife Katie of Denison, and Shane Boatner and Taylor Holliday of Sherman; brother in laws: Chris Nance and wife Linda of Decatur, Texas, and Chris Wise of Sherman; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; grandchildren: Mason, Addison, Salem, Kinlee, Lane, Crew, Isaac, Ronnell, Trannelle, and Ronzell.
