Obituary For James Parsons

James 'Mac' Parsons, 74, lifelong Whitesboro resident, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family. A family visitation was held Thursday evening at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 27th, in Collinsville Cemetery, with Rev. Charles Carter of County Line Baptist Church officiating. James was born October 22, 1940, in Collinsville, TX, to James Coit and Maxine Hessley Parsons. He attended schools in Woodbine and in Redware. On October 15, 1960, he married Janis Caroline Dillon, and they enjoyed nearly 55 wonderful years together until her death in August 2014. They were longtime members of County Line Baptist Church in Collinsville. James managed the paint and body shop for Young Motors in Sherman for 18 years. He then opened his own Parsons Paint and Body in Sherman, relocating to Whitesboro in 1982. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. James was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Janis Parsons, and one brother, Bobby Parsons. He is survived by a son, Mackey Parsons and his wife Sherri, of Stringtown, OK, and a daughter, Rhonda Ludlam and husband Garry, of Whitesboro, TX; brothers, Dorsey Parsons and wife Jean, and Dennis Parsons and wife Tereasa, all of Sadler, TX; sisters, Fleeta Collins and husband Don, of Whitesboro, and Judy Tyler and husband Terry, of Sadler, TX; sister-in-law, Sandra Parsons, also of Sadler; grandchildren: Brandon Parsons (Karla), Brittany Parsons, Destinee Parsons, Chelsey Ross (Blake), Brittany Ludlam, Jaden Parsons and Heather McBeath(Randy); and great-grandchildren: Kaelyn Parsons, Tatyana Parsons, Dayton Ross, Braighley McBeath, Brent McBeath, Blayke McBeath and Colton Kaufman.
