Jennie Ann Craven Little, 91, of Seguin, Texas, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at West Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Little was born July 16, 1924, in Deport, Texas, to Ernest Gilford and Cordelia Merle Chesshire Craven. The family relocated to Sherman, Texas, in 1925. She attended school at White Rock and graduated from Sherman High School in 1941. Jennie married Burl H. Little Jr. at Columbus, Kansas, in 1944. The family lived in Joplin, Missouri, until Burl was deployed overseas during World War II. In 1957, they moved to Okeechobee, Florida, where they began ranching and where Jennie worked as a seamstress for the next 15 years. Mrs. Little was a member of the First Baptist Church of Okeechobee. She served as president of the Cattle Women’s Association of Okeechobee County and also served as a state officer of the association. Mrs. Little was preceded in death by her husband, Burl, siblings Horace Craven, Merle Ulrich, Margaret Taylor and Lois Craven. She is survived by two children. Burl Little III and wife Linda of Seguin, Texas, and Marion Pool and husband Bobby E. of Groom, Texas, as well as five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and three step-great grandchildren.
