Graveside services for Jerrel Dean Gilliam of Sherman who died Wednesday July 20 2011 at Preston House Assisted Living will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday July 22 2011 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Reverend Lander Bethel of Grand Avenue Presbyterian Church will officiate. Dannel Funeral home has charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Gilliam was born March 23 1923 in Okmulgee OK the daughter of Martha Ellen (Little) and Robert Taylor Stout. After graduating high school she attended Oklahoma A&M College. Mrs. Gilliam married Stephen H. Gilliam Jr. on April 3 1943 in Edinburg Texas. She was a member of Grand Avenue Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Gilliam is survived by two sons: Jimmy Earl Gilliam and wife Irina of Palestine Texas and Tommy Ray Gilliam of Whitewright, grandsons: Jeremy Gilliam and Steven Gilliam, and granddaughter Evgeniya "Jane" Oryol.
