Jerry Wayne Mcknight,age 75, passed away from this life on March 16, 2022 in Denison, Texas. Jerry was born July 27, 1946 in Bonham, Texas, the son of Lloyd and Marie (Dunihoo) Mcknight. After graduating from Sherman High School in 1964, Jerry joined and served in the U S. Air Force and was stationed in Tripoli, Libya. After his time in the Air Force, Jerry served in the Oklahoma National Guard where he retired after 20 years of service. He went on to work at Texas Instruments and retired officially from Raytheon in Sherman. Jerry married the love of his life , Rebecca Gregory on September 23, 1971 in Durant, Oklahoma. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2021.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Phyllis Thompson of Kyle, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Mcknight and two sisters, Anita Adams of Georgetown, Texas and Cheryl Roberson of Midlothian, Texas.

Mr. Mcknight will be buried in a private ceremony at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas at a later date.
