Joe found his niche as the steward of Travis Lodge 117. He loved to cook and provided many delicious meals for various lodge functions and fundraisers. His time invested in teaching the work to many will not be forgotten. Praying the family finds comfort knowing Joe has graduated to that celestial lodge above. So mode it be.

I just heard today that Joe, my years ago TI HR team member and friend, had passed. My heart goes out to you, Cathy, and to the kids, Staci and Brian, all 3 of you I felt like I knew quite well because he shared you all with me and the HR team. Carol Baxley, Vernice Hicks, Bill Heinzmann, Joe, and I used to get together at La Mesa after we all left TI to celebrate birthdays. Joe was so much fun even though he tried to hide his "fun" side. I loved his dry sense of humor. He and I used to grab lunch together pretty often at a local hamburger place and he was always a pleasure to talk with. After work, he was off to take care of the cows. Please know, and I think you all do, that Joe will be greatly missed. I didn't call him on his birthday the last 2 or 3 years because of life happening, and I regret that because it was always good to surprise him with a call. May God wrap His loving arms around your family now and hold you tight. I pray you feel the love and warm thoughts for you each day. God Bless You!

Joe was a very special friend of mine and I have many great memories of our times together. We worked at Piggly Wiggly during our Sherman High School years. We attended Grayson College and Southeastern Oklahoma State College together also. I remember that we went hunting and fishing together back then and occasionally skipped our college classes to go eat breakfast at Denny's, where we had many great talks. We were also coworkers at Texas Instruments and at times, our families went camping together at Lake Texoma. I cherish all the years I knew Joe and I am blessed to have called him my Friend. He will be missed.

Me and Joe started working on the same day at TI and went through orientation together. He was my HR man for many years and then we worked in the military planning group for around 15 years until he retired. Me, Joe, and Dean Hatcher made many trips together to Dallas TI locations for many years for meetings, classes and other company outings. We loved being able to drive in the car pool lane. When my husband passed I didn't know how to take care of my car or where or when to get my oil changed. I felt totally lost about so much. Joe and Dean stepped up and helped me go through so much. Joe was a great man. He was always willing to help others. He had a servant's heart and I valued his advice. He loved his wife and talked about her a lot. He was so proud of children and their accomplishments. He was such a good grandpa and loved telling stories about his grandchildren. . He loved getting to baby sit and hold them for hours when they were babies. Joe was a wonderful coworker and I have so many wonderful memories of him. He made my life easier by supporting me after my husband passed. I worried about making the right decision about several things because it's hard to think when your grieving. Joe was always there to advise me and I valued his opinion. Joe was a hard worker and was always ready to help anyone who needed it. He always had a story to tell and was both funny and interesting. To all of Joe's family, I know that your hearts are broken but I hope that you can find peace in knowing that this separation is temporary and that you will be with him again in heaven and that reunion will be forever. He meant a lot to so many and he will never be forgotten. I know that my life is better for having known him.
