John Wayman Miller, 71, of Pottsboro, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at his home. A private memorial service is planned at the family residence on April 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. John was born April 12, 1943, in Erath County, Texas, to John Wesley Miller and Arlee Northcutt Miller. He graduated from Dublin High School and Tarleton State University. John loved woodworking and building, was an accomplished guitar player and song writer. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, preferably outside while tending the grill. He served in the National Guard. Mr. Miller is survived by his loving wife Jeannie Doty, of Pottsboro; sons, Eric Alan Miller, of McKinney, Christopher Wade Miller and wife Dominique, of McKinney, and David Thomas Scarborough and wife Kristen, of Murphy; daughter, Ronda Jean Price and husband James, of Sherman; brother, Melvin Joe Miller, of Frisco; sisters, Lucy Charlotte Miller, of Granbury, and Marilyn Pipes and husband Willie III, of Stephenville; and eight grandchildren.
