Obituary For John Schneider

Services for John Schneider, 84, of Sherman, Texas, will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Dannel Funeral Home with Leland Samuelson officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. John was born on May 1, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to Wilbert and Eleanore Scott Schneider. He was raised in Detroit and attended Detroit schools. He entered the United States Air Force in 1951 and served his country. He married Effie Joan Rasmussen and they eventually settled in Sherman, Texas. They had four children: Paul, James, Nora, and Cathy. John worked for Pillsbury until his retirement. He was a simple man who loved his family. He will be missed. John is survived by two sons: Paul Schneider of Pottsboro, James Schneider of Sherman; two daughters: Nora Wigginton of Simla, CO, and Cathy McCellan of British Colombia.

    Paul and James I am deeply sorry for your loss. Your dad was a wonderful neighbor the years I lived at Shadow Mountain. Your family became part of mine in those years. I still treasure the memories of your dad out there working on that yellow rose bush with your mom beside him just a fussing LOL.
