Obituary For Juanita Hendrik
May the Angels meet you and lead you into paradise-------------. Our precious grandmother , Juanita Yarbrough Hendrik , was called home to her permanent home in heaven on Monday, September 12, 2016 to be with her Lord and Savior and her loved ones who have gone before her, especially her true love, Gorge Porterfield Hendrik who preceded her in death September 8, 1985.. Juanita was born August 17, 1922, the daughter of Susie Fammie Drew Yarbrough and Thomas Franklin Yarbrough in Plano, Collin County, Texas. She married George Porterfield Hendrik on October 9, 1940 and from this union a daughter, Sue Hendrik Haloday and two sons, Carl Wesley and Richard George Hendrik were born. Their children loved and adored them. She was a member of North Park Baptist Church. They have a multitude of biological and non-biological grandchildren. Over the years the number grew and grew as the grandchildren came home with their friends. They then had several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as the numbers grew and never stopped. If a child met her, she became their grandmother. She wasn't fancy or super smart but she was everything a real grandmother was supposed to be, sweet, with a soft voice and never a harsh word spoken or a gentle not strict hand. She could make anyone feel very special and that no one could be as important as you. She was the definition of a very loving, caring, Christian Grandmother and was an example for all who knew and loved her. She will be missed by all!! She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, son, Richard and sisters, Rosa Lee Philgram and Ida Bell Hammonds. Surviving are her son Carl Hendrik and wife Jane of Sherman, TX; daughter Mary Sue Holaday of Dekalb, TX; brothers Tom Yarbrough of Euless, TX and James Yarbrough of Sanger, TX; and 5 Grandchildren A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 16, 2016 at Dannel Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Murphy of North Park Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, Texas. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m . Pallbearers will be Special Grandsons. Special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice for their wonderful care for our mother and grandmother, and for the special love Carl and Janie Hendrik, Sr. gave her and for moving in with her which allowed her to live at home and live her last days on earth with dignity.
Condolences
