Obituary For Julie Yoast

Julie Ann (Zukowski) Yoast, 81, beloved wife of the late Billy R. Yoast, passed away on Friday, September 30 at The Hearth in Glastonbury, where she had lived for the past year. Born in New Britain, Connecticut on September 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Nahille) Zukowski. Julie lived i n various locations during her lifetime includi ng Connecticut, Colorado, and California, bu t her long term residence which she considered home was Plano, Texas. She and her husband spent many wonderful years together there. Julie graduated from New Britai n High School and worked at various office management positions, finally retiring from The English Workshop in Plano, Texas. Julie loved to cook, read, do calligraphy, make her husband happy and visit and talk with her sisters. She also had a life-long passion for learning as well as a sharp wit. She leaves her three step-child ren, James Richard Yoast of Laguna Hills, California, Joan Carol Yoast of Corona, California and Billy Michael Yoast of Banning,California; her brother, Henry Zukowski of Terryville, Connecticut and sister-in-law, Patsy Clay of Denison, Texas as well as her many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her family received friends at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, Connecticut on Saturday, October 15'" from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. for memorial calling hours with a service beginning at 12:45 p.m. Julie will be buried in West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas alongside her loving husband on Novem ber 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association CT Chapter, 200 Executive Boulevard, Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489-1058.
