Obituaries

A graveside service for Junebelle Brawner, 93 of Sherman will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Pastor Charlie Ellison of Calvary Baptist Church in Sherman will officiate. She passed on Tuesday, April 20, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

Junebelle was born April 1, 1928 to Bill and Belle Reynolds. She graduated from Gillette High School in Gillette, Wyoming in 1946. She met and married James David Brawner and they eventually moved to Sherman in 1953. They had 3 children, David, Bill, and Kenneth. She cared deeply for her family and loved to paint and draw landscapes and portraits. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Junebelle was preceded in death by her husband and 2 children, Bill and Kenneth Brawner. She is survived by her son David of Sherman; 3 grandchildren: Crystal Brawner-Blackwell of Sherman, Jeff Brawner of Pueblo, Colorado, and Courtney Sutherlin of Keller; 6 great grandchildren: Jacob Blackwell and Presley Turner and husband Cody, Rowyn and Kegan Brawner, and Chloe and Landon Sutherlin; and a great great grandson, Mario D. Harris III.
