Obituary For Kathy Lynn Browning

Obituary

Kathy (Jones) Browning

Born: May 13, 1966, in Beaumont, Texas

Passed Away: July 4, 2026, in Pilot Point, Texas

Kathy was a warm, generous, and endlessly energetic woman who poured her heart into everything she loved. She had a true passion for crafts, spending countless hours creating beautiful handmade items that brought joy to her family and friends. Always willing to help others in need, Kathy was the first to lend a hand, offering her time, talents, and support whenever someone required it.

Kathy graduated from Midland High School in 1984 and received her associates degree from Midland College. She worked in the insurance industry for 25 years, helping people is something Kathy loved doing.

Her family was the center of her world. She cherished every moment watching her children play baseball and cheerleading, happily spending countless weekends at games, cheering enthusiastically from the stands. Deeply involved in their activities, Kathy volunteered at both the local College and High School, working the concession stands and supporting the schools with her smile. Her kids were her greatest passion as they grew up, and that love only multiplied when her grandchildren arrived, she treasured every precious moment spent with them.

Kathy also found happiness in shopping for unique treasures, traveling to new places, and

gathering with friends and family. Whether hosting lively get-togethers or simply sharing quiet time with loved ones, she created lasting memories wherever she went.

Kathy is survived by her father Grady Ray Jones, son Justin Browning, daughter Brittany Sweigart (Sean), grandchildren Landon, Leah and Lainey. She was preceded in death by her mother Alice Jones and uncle Bob Jones (Marty)

May she rest in peace.

Kathy, you were always willing to give someone a ride, even if it was out of your way. We drove to Austin when Travis graduated rehab and took all the dogs with us. You were always thinking about the people you loved. (Even when they weren't being thoughtful of you) You will be sorely missed until we see on another again, God bless you. PS Save me a seat up there!

What is there not to say about Kathy.... Kathy was one of my best friends. She helped me when I needed help regardless of whatever problems of her own she was going through. I can honestly say if it wasn't for Kathy, I wouldn't be where I am today. I've learned a lot about myself from Kathy and of course her family too. I will forever be grateful to Kathy and I will miss her. Thank you Kathy for coming into my life and being a huge part of it. I'm so glad just the other day I remember thanking you and telling you how much credit I gave you for helping me get where I am. I've learned so much about myself in the last couple of years and have grown so much because of you. I love you. May you rest in peace and never forget how much you were loved
