Kenneth E. Korioth, 64, of Dallas, passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2022. He was the loving father of Kimberly Ann Korioth of Manville, RI, and was the son of the late Sylvester Korioth and Billie Lee (Moss) Korioth. He is preceded in death by his brother Christopher Korioth, and is survived by his siblings Terry Korioth of Houston, TX, Jennifer Kenley of Grand Prairie, TX, Martha Korioth of Grand Prairie, TX, Mary Williams of Colorado Springs, CO, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Ken was born in Sherman, TX, and he graduated from Sherman High School, Austin College (B.A. in English and Theatre), and New England School of Law (J.D.). He was an Executive Consultant in the biopharmaceutical industry, a field in which he had worked for over 20 years. He spent 9 years working at MannKind Corporation as Vice President and Associate General Counsel, where he worked to launch Afrezza, a rapid-acting inhaled insulin device. Over the past five years, he served as the Director of the Board of iEMT, working to launch both a portable, low-cost medical imaging system for first responders, as well as copper based tracheal and endotracheal tubes for the reduction of ventilator associated pneumonia.

From a young age, Ken enjoyed theater, poetry, and music. He studied at Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, RI. He worked for a time at Camp Rising Sun, where he led the theater program and put together a production of Caucasian Chalk Circle. He went on to act in performances across the DFW Metroplex area, including Charing Cross Road and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as well as other theater productions. He loved playing piano and organ for family and friends over the years at home and at St. Mary’s Church in Sherman, TX, and he left behind a book of poems for his family.

Rosary and visitation hours will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, between the hours of 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Dannel Funeral Home, 302 South Walnut, Sherman, Texas, 75090.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 3, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Anne’s Church, 728 South Travis Street, Sherman, Texas. There will be a private family burial at North Burial Ground in Bristol, Rhode Island.

Kim, Terry, Jennifer, Martha, and Mary: my heart goes out to each of you as you say goodbye to a delightful and kind man. Ken was born a day after me, so we were destined to be close. We spent a lot of time together in high school, especially on drama productions, and he helped me getmy first real job - at McDonald's, of course! And who could forget that huge land yacht of a car he drove during that time. It was an Olds or Buick station wagon that got 8 miles per gallon, tops. My best memories of time with Ken was our road trip from Sherman to our family's sumer house in Andover, Mass. Perhaps it was that trip that eventually led him to the New England School of Law? I regret that we lost contact over the years, as Ken could always make me left and also make me think deep thoughts. I hope you were able to celebrate his life in a fashion he would have like, today, and that your good memories of him will sustain you in the coming tomorrows.

We were so very sorry to hear of Ken's death. Mary and I were friends as teenagers so I spent time in the Korioth household and remember Ken. He always impressed me as a kind , happy person. We are praying for God's comfort during this time of loss. Please know that you are very much in our thoughts and prayers. Our love, Susan and John Bullard
