Obituary For Kenneth Inglish

Kenneth Ward Inglish, 77, of Denison, Texas, peacefully passed away on August 27, 2021. Kenneth (or Ken) was born in Gainesville, Texas to Seth “Casey” and Josephine “Jo” Inglish on March 14, 1944. He graduated from Era High School in 1962. While attending college at East Texas State College (now Texas A&M University – Commerce), Ken was drafted into the Army, and served as an army medic. After service to his country, Ken worked as an optician for Texas State Optical for over 35 years, serving offices in Gainesville, then Bonham, TX.

Ken was married to Charlotte Kreger in June 2004 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He was a loving and attentive father to his children - Angela Thomas (née Inglish), and Nicholas Inglish. The most gentle and humble of souls, he attended weekend worship services as a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Prosper, TX.

Upon retirement, Ken traveled with his wife Charlotte and enjoyed visiting multiple states. He was a Civil War enthusiast, so many of these vacations were spent touring battle sites and war museums. While not on vacation, he would volunteer at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, assisting the hospital staff where needed.

Ken was Master Mason of the Billie Mosse Masonic Lodge in Denison, and an associate of the Scottish Rite of FreeMasonry for nearly 50 years. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Casey and Jo Inglish, his second wife, Debbie Kennedy Inglish, and his daughter, Angela Thomas. He is survived by his wife Charlotte, son Nick Inglish of Dallas, stepsons Craig and Nickolas Kreger of Sherman, brother Wallace Inglish and sister-in-law Barbara Inglish of Rosston, a grandson, Stephen Thomas of California, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, September 2, at Dannel Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held 10am Friday, September 3, at Rosston Cemetery in Rosston, Texas with Maurice Swanke, of Prestonwood Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Dannel Funeral Home. The family is humbled by, and grateful for all the generous offers of support and prayers during this time. Memorials may be made to Grace Bridge Food Bank in Celina, Texas. (www.Gracebridge.us).

Memories flood my mind of Kenneth from many years ago while we worked together at TSO. He was a very kind person and we shared many good times there. He was always very kind to me and especially helpful when he fixed my daughters glasses. God bless you and grant you comfort and peace. Phyllis Hurst Hutson
