Kenneth Leon Cope, 95, of Sherman went to be with His Lord and Savior on September 22, 2022. He was born in Brownsfield, Texas on October 13, 1926. Kenneth graduated from Pilot Point High School in 1944 and joined the army soon after in 1945. He served from 1945-1947 at the end of WWII. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He had a love for the game of golf and after his retirement, you could find him playing just about every day at Perrin Golf Course.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nova Jean, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by daughters, Sherrye Rodgers, husband Donald of Luella, Pam Cooney, husband Greg of Richardson, son, Bradly Cope of Phoenix Arizona, seven grandchildren, Monica Ferman Waters, Valerie Ferman, Erin Ferman, Kenley Cooney Larkin, Katy Cooney and Charlie Cooney, eight great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

My sweet Papaw. I hope you know how much you were loved & adored. So many great childhood memories involve you & Mamaw. You were my rock and support system growing up and I couldn't be more proud to all you my Papaw. The love you had for your grandkids. Some of my favorite memories would be going to Six Flags. It was so funny how you loved the roller coasters...... more than us kids. Also seeing the love you had for Mamaw. How you would tease & aggravate her and then y'all would bicker & laugh together. I can't express the influence & Impact you had in my life Love you Papaw !! RIP
