Larry D. Harrington, age 82, passed away August 14, 2020 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

Mr. Harrington was born November 3, 1937 in Ellsie, Michigan. He was the son of Ernest and Carrie (Brown) Harrington. He was raised in a large family with 10 siblings who were raised by his mother after his father passed away when he was 3 years old. Larry and his family moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1949 where he attended and graduated from high school in 1957. After graduating, Larry joined the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed at Perrin Air Force base. Mr. Harrington married Doris Moore in 1960 and were married 48 years before her death in 1998. Larry worked for Chevron as a lineman for 33 years until his retirement in 1996. He was dedicated member of Friendship U.M.C. in Sherman since 1964. Mr. Harrington devoted himself to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family and church friends. He was a man of great faith and will be missed deeply by his family and friends.

Mr. Harrington is survived by his wife, Francis (Brown) Harrington, two sons, Ron and Keith and daughter Connie. He has one grandson, Jake, four grand daughters, Amanda, Shannon, Shelby and Emily, two great-granddaughters and one sister, Leah. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Moore) Harrington, his parents, and nine brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services for Mr. Harrington will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Friendship U.M.C. with Rev. Roy Spore Officiating. A graveside service with military honors will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. A time of viewing and visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
