Laura Belle Foster, 79, of Denison, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 30, 2014, at her home surrounded by those who loved her most. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. Sunday, November 2nd, at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 3rd, in West Hill Cemetery. Pastor Leland Samuelson will officiate. Laura Belle was born August 14, 1935, in Sherman, TX, to W.B. and Mildred Long. She married Bobby Foster on November 14, 1953, and they enjoyed 53 years together before Bobby's death in 2006. Laura Belle worked at Kaiser Aluminum as a Sales Representative for 25 years, retiring in 1985. She then purchased several rental properties which she took care of in her retirement years. She was always a strong, independent woman who instilled these qualities in her three daughters who were the greatest treasures of her life. In her leisure, Laura Belle loved reading, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with her four-legged best friend, Cookie. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, she is survived by her daughters: Joahanna Renfro and husband Gary, Jennifer Foster, and Karen Spykes and husband Eddie; brother, Robert Long and wife Sue; grandsons Jason Phillips, Jon Renfro and wife Alisha, and Ben Renfro; and three great-grandchildren. Laura Belle's family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Guardian Hospice for the attentive care provided their mother in her last days, with special thanks to her nurse Toni Wheeler, who, quite simply, became part of the family.
