Obituary For Lee Matson "Matt" Campbell
Lee Matson “Matt” Campbell, also known by many as Pop, 62, of Dallas, TX, passed away on February 15, 2023 in Denison, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, TX with Brother Dave Snell officiating. Arrangements are by Dannel Funeral Home.
Matt Campbell was born in Dallas, TX to Claude and Doris Campbell on July 22, 1960. He was the youngest of 6 children. He went to school at Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, TX, and graduated in 1978. He married Cindy Campbell on May 19, 1996 in Flower Mound, TX. They were married for 27 years. He worked as a Pump truck operator for many years and worked at W&W Concrete Pumping for the last 4 years.
Matt Campbell was a hard working man who always took care of all of the people in his life. He was generous and had the biggest heart. His wife would describe him as a “big and tough man, but really just a big squishy.” He loved his grandchildren more than anything in the world and was the kind of man to give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. There was never a dull moment with him, always cracking dad jokes at random times and keeping everyone on their toes.
Matt Campbell is preceded in death by his mother, father, step-mother, step-father, mother-in-law Onie Crouch, sisters Ella Doris Crow and Claudia Hauck, and great-granddaughter Julianna Aleece Utrera.
Matt Campbell is survived by wife: Cindy Campbell, sisters: Jean Pass, Sharon Ybarguen, Rhea Nell Vosper, and brother: Claude Campbell, Jr, children and grandchildren: Jimmy and wife Teresa Ozuna and 2 children, Jimmy Ray and wife Kelly Milburn and 4 children, Amy Milburn and 3 children, Casey Milburn and fiancé Gabi Brown and 4 children, Patrick Grozier and fiance Shelbey Garner and sons, Cassie Rumfield and daughter, Chyrstal Weathers and 5 children, Matson and wife Kaitlin Manichhia and 2 children.
Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Ozuna, Jimmy Ray Milburn, Casey Milburn, Patrick Grozier, Matson Manicchia, Hayden Petty, Hunter Petty, and Cole Ozuna.
The family of Matt Campbell wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Doctors and staff at Texoma Medical Center for all of their care and compassion.
