Lelon Ellis Furr, 70, of Sherman, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

Lelon was born on March 24, 1953, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sherman. He was the only child of Julia “Judy” Bentley Furr and Robert E. Furr. Lelon graduated from Pottsboro High School and then earned his Batchelor’s Degree in Business and Computer Science from Southeastern Oklahoma State in Durant, Oklahoma. Lelon had a successful career as a computer programmer and was a member of I.O.O.F. #45 in Sherman, Texas.

Lelon is survived by his aunt, Sallie Sue Caylor; cousins: Suzette and Jeff Henderson, Vickie Bentley, Barb Caylor, Ricky Kirkpatrick, Liz Hill, Jodie Bentley, and Chad Bentley.

Memorials in Lelon’s name may be made to Animal Shelters for Dogs or the church of the donor’s choice.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
