Obituary For Lillian Probst
Lillian Ethelene Probst age 92 formerly of Sherman TX passed away on September 25 2011 at Spring Hills Assisted Living in Dayton Ohio. Visitation will be held on Thursday at Sept. 29th at 7 P.M.to 8 P.M. Additional visitation will be at 12:30 P.M. on Friday September 30 2011 at Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Sept. 30th at Dannel Funeral Home Chapel with Howard Smith of Western Heights Church of Christ officiating. Interment to follow at West Hill Cemetery. Ethelene was born April 28 1919 to Hefley Franklin and Mabel (Fogel) Franklin in Sherman TX. Ethelene graduated from Bells High School. She married Murry W. Probst on April 25 1942 in Collinsville TX. Ethelene was a longtime member of Western Heights Church of Christ and later while in Ohio became a member of Turner Rd Church of Christ. She worked at Perrin Air Force Base Piggly Wiggly Day Mfg and Turley"s Grocery Store and then retired from Gibsons Discount Center of Sherman. Ethelene also volunteered at Cruthchfield Elementary School where she taught many children to crochet. Ethelene"s favorite thing to do was to play "Forty-Two" with her family and friends of the snap center. She was preceded in death by her husband Murry, parents Hefley and Mabel Franklin, sister Dorothy Stewart, brother George Franklin and wife Dottie, sister-in-law Alva Lewis, brother-in-law Harold Gibbs and his daughter Sylvia Gibbs sister-in-law Vera Anderson and husband Pat. Survivors include: daughters, Ruth Cooper and partner Roy Pratt of Cincinnati OH Vanna Garrett and husband Chester of Dayton OH sisters: Kathleen Gibbs Jeannie Art and husband Paul all of New Castle CA brother MIke Franklin and wife Reba of Elm Grove LA grandsons: Shane Crowell and Jeremy Cooper Great-grandchildren: Dylan Kyler Lucas Lillian Leona Jackson Madilynn Nicole Crowell Sayra Beth Crowel and Trace Emory Crowell and Destiny Loyd several nieces nephews and cousins and special longtime friend Hiawatha McGill. Pallbearers will be Shane Crowell Ricky Cabezas Jason Gardner John Inman David McTee. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the donor""s favorite charity.
