Obituary For Linda Kaye Little

Linda Kaye Allison Little, 70, of Sherman Texas, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2023 at Carrus Hospital in Sherman surrounded by her loving family. Linda had suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in July 2019, and had been cared for at home by her husband, Barrett until the most recent hospitalization on November 1, 2022.

Linda was born in Fort Worth, Texas, to Doris Jeanette Allison and James Millard Allison, II on December 13, 1952. She married her high school sweetheart, Barrett Dee Little on November 6, 1971, and recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. She graduated from Sherman High School in 1971. She attended Austin College earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Education. She worked for Grayson County Adult Probation, Mental Health Mental Retardation Services of Texoma, and Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services as a Rehabilitation Counselor until her retirement in 2015. Linda is preceded in death by her parents Doris Jeanette Allison and James Millard Allison and her brother James Millard Allison II.

Linda is survived by her husband, Barrett Dee Little of Sherman, children, Clint Little and wife Betty Little of Sherman and Alison Little of Sherman, brother, Larry Allison and wife Debora Allison of Sherman and children, sister-in-law Veronica Allison of Kentucky and children, brothers-in-law: Robert Little and wife Sherry Little of Sherman and children, and David Little and wife Peggy Little of Austin and children, grandchildren: Tyler Little, Lauren Little, Peyton Little, Caitlin Carroll, Riley Carroll and Cameron Carroll, and countless other extended family members and friends. Her Honorary Pallbearers will be her six grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Dannel Funeral Home at 5:00 pm on Friday February 24th with a funeral service immediately following at 6:00 pm in the Chapel at Dannel, with Rev. Joe Ed Goolsby of First United Methodist Church of Sherman, officiating.

She was loved by so many and will be forever missed. The world will not be the same without our Mom, wife, Mamaw, aunt and sister. The family of Linda wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Rev. Joe Ed Goolsby, First United Methodist Church of Sherman, and the caring staff of Carrus Hospital.

    I have know Linda and her family for years . Linda was always smiling an just a sweet person. My condolences to her family.

    We were very best friends. I was in her wedding. She was such a sweet person. I am so sad a her loss. Too bad we drift a part as we get older. I wish her family peace and love.
