Obituary For Lindsay Nicole Stroup

Lindsay Nicole Stroup age 30, of Denison, Texas passed away on July 25, 2025, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

Lindsay was born in Richardson, Texas to Scott Stroup and Janet Jenkins on August 27, 1994. She was the oldest of 3 girls, a big sister to Holly and Heather. She was raised in Blue Ridge, Texas. She attended schools in Blue Ridge, McKinney, and graduated from Greenville High School in 2012. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology with honors from West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas in 2018.

At the end of her college year, she met Thomas Goligowski and they had their only child, Lily Lucia Goligowski in May of 2019. Lindsay loved being a mother and she stayed home with her daughter for the first year of her life. The family settled in the Sherman Denison area in 2020 where Lindsay began her career with the Texas Parks and Wildlife at Eisenhower State Park where she worked for 4 years, first with the Maintenance Crew, where she was the first full time woman Maintenance Ranger, before moving into a position as the Park Interpreter, where she was responsible for educating and helping visitors appreciate and respect nature and all that Eisenhower has to offer. In 2024, she changed roles and began educating at the Eisenhower Birthplace in Denison.

Lindsay loved to read and she loved being outdoors. She wanted to protect the environment by sharing her knowledge and experience with others. She was a very loving, ambitious, health conscious, hard-working, passionate soul and always pushed herself to become a better human being and was encouraging to everyone around her. She was very focused on her daughter and her family. Lindsay knew how to do little bit of everything. Whether it was Jiujitsu or teaching herself to sew, she put her whole self into whatever she was doing at the time. Lindsay was a bright light in this world with a totally infectious smile. She will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her partner, Thomas Conrad Goligowski and their daughter, Lily Lucia; mother, Janet Jenkins; father, Scott and his wife Brieta Stroup; sisters: Holly Stroup and Heather Stroup; niece, Bonnie Dodson; grandparents, Judy and Terry Jenkins; aunts, Ginger Griffis and husband Greg, and Terry Hazuda and husband Mike; and several cousins. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Bill and Bonnie Stroup and aunt Gwen.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Eisenhower State Park on August 9, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
