Obituary For Lisa Waldrum
Lisa Gail Waldrum, 56, of Sherman, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Texas Health Presbyterian/WNJ. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 3rd, at East Sherman Baptist Church. Pastor Rob Shephard will officiate. Lisa was born August 19, 1958, in Sherman, TX, to Barney Lee and Nita Frances Godbey Weimer. She graduated from Sherman High School. A short time later she married Ernie Jefferson Waldrum. They were blessed with two daughters. Lisa was obsessed with elephants; art, curios, and collectibles, and had amassed quite an impressive array. After elephants, she was also enamored by anything Elvis, and was a firm believer in angels, which her collection also demonstrated. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother, a sweet sister, a doting grandmother, and a dear friend to all who knew her. She was devout in her Christian faith. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronald Lee Duckworth, grandson Tyler Wes Weddle and great-niece Rebecca Nicole Dodson, she is survived by her husband Ernie, daughters Lori Michelle Weddle and Lanita Star Payne; brothers Barney Lee Weimer and Michael Weimer; sister Karen Weimer; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would be especially honored by memorial donations to any local organization whose focus is the assistance and support of our military veterans and/or their families.
